The Chamber called on the Province to include safe pedestrian and active transportation infrastructure in the 2027 Provincial Road 240 (Tupper St Bridge) overpass project, ensuring the corridor supports future growth, accessibility, and economic development. 

The Chamber called on the Manitoba government to take immediate action to address the impact of canola tariffs by advocating for their removal, supporting new domestic markets through Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and expanding market diversification to protect Manitoba's agricultural economy and strengthen long-term growth.

The Chamber sends a letter annually to our municipal government, including Mayor, Finance Chair, and City Manager, acknowledging the needs of our Members in order to grow our community, and support their business needs.

The Chamber urged the Province to prioritize resurfacing and infrastructure improvements on the roadway leading to the new Portage Regional Health Centre, including turning lanes, curbs, boulevards, and upgraded road markings to improve safety, traffic flow, and emergency vehicle access.

The Chamber pushed for the Province to fulfill its commitment to pave the Highway 1A eastbound and westbound service roads, highlighting the importance of safe, reliable access for local businesses, residents, and visitors while supporting economic growth and transportation efficiency.
